In 2010, Gardner Security amalgamated into Christie Intruder Alarms Ltd (CIA), based in Waterlooville.
CIA is the most recognized and well respected security brand in the South and they install and maintain fire alarm and detection systems in Hampshire, West Sussex, Berkshire, Dorset, East Sussex, Surrey and Wiltshire.
CIA are expert in the design and installion of fire alarm systems for both residential and business properties. We comply with the current British Standards, are accredited by BAFE to SP203 for all four modules: design, installation, commissioning/handover and verification, and are an NSI Fire Gold approved company.
We can provide everything from a basic smoke detector to a fully automatic fire detecting system which alerts you to the slightest amount of smoke or change in temperature. All of our fire alarm equipment is installed to current Standards, as is our emergency lighting.
CIA also sells products to limit the damage caused by fire, such as sprinkler or gaseous systems, fire extinguishers and fire proof safes which protect cash, documents and computer data.

Our fire alarm and detection systems are designed to limit damage to a building, its contents and its structure and to give adequate warning to occupants so that they have time to escape to a place of safety and summon the local fire brigade.
Fire alarm systems can be designed to protect life, property or both, and can be installed throughout the property or just within areas of risk as defined by the building's fire risk assessment or as stipulated by insurers.
CIA offer a full design, installation and commissioning service, backed up by a full service and maintenance contract to meet the requirements of the current British Standards.
Our fire alarm and detection systems are designed to comply with BS5839 part 1 2002 for buildings other than dwellings and BS5839 Part 6 2004 for dwellings and houses of multiple occupancy. For National Health properties and residential care homes, systems are designed to BS5839 Part 1 2002 & HTM 82.
